This article outlines what to do when you receive the error message "DSP25,Diagnosis Code,Error,'[Diagnosis Code]', value exceeds the length allowed; The allowed length for the field is 7;"
This error is returned when the value submitted in DSP25 exceeds the maximum allowed length of 7. A common reason for this error is that a decimal(.) was included in the value.
Verify My Data
-
Verify that you have not entered any extra characters such as a decimal, or additional alphanumeric characters.
If your pharmacy software automatically adds a decimal to the ICD-10 code, please refer to your software vendor so they can make the appropriate changes. The TN Data Collection system does not accept this formatting.
- After you or your software vendor has made the appropriate changes, attempt to resubmit. The diagnosis code error will no longer appear.
